Our Story

Making LaTeX
feel like magic

Built for researchers, by researchers

We started Typevia because we lived the pain. Late nights wrestling compilation errors, emailing .tex files back and forth, losing track of who changed what.

LaTeX produces beautiful documents, but the workflow around it was stuck in the past. We set out to keep everything researchers love about LaTeX and fix everything they don't.

Principles

What we stand for

01

Simplicity First

Academic writing is complex enough. Your tools should feel invisible, letting you focus on ideas rather than formatting.

02

Collaboration Native

Research is a team sport. Real-time co-authoring, commenting, and review workflows are built into every layer.

03

Speed Matters

Instant preview, sub-second compilation, and AI that responds in real-time. We obsess over every millisecond.

04

Privacy & Trust

Your research is sensitive. End-to-end security, no training on your data, and full control over sharing.

Process

From keystroke to PDF

01

Write

Open the editor and start typing LaTeX. Syntax highlighting, auto-completion, and smart snippets keep you in flow.

02

Collaborate

Invite your co-authors. Edits sync in real-time, everyone sees changes the instant they happen.

03

Ask AI

Stuck on a formula or section? The assistant writes LaTeX and inserts right into your document.

04

Publish

Hit compile and get a beautifully typeset PDF in under a second.

Open at heart

Typevia is built on open standards and open-source foundations. Yjs for real-time sync, Monaco for editing, LaTeX for typesetting, proven tools trusted by millions.

We believe academic tools should be accessible, transparent, and built with the community.
